DENISE
(RICHARDSON) WILLIAMS, Piano.
Mrs. Denise Williams holds grade seven certificates in piano and theory of music from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. She is former vocalist with renown gospel group, the Grace Thrillers, backup singer for the Barbara Jones album Thank You Lord.and also for her latest CD So Much To Thank Him For (which was recorded and mixed at the ColeMusiq recording facility). Mrs. Williams is a full-time music teacher at Merl Grove High School.



KARLA SMITH, Piano.
Miss Karla Smith holds the Certificate in Instrumental and Vocal Teaching from the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts (piano, voice, guitar), as well as certificates in piano and theory from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Her passion for singing has found place with the University Singers (1991-95), and numerous other choral ensembles over the years. Currently, Miss Smith is keyboardist with the Hampton Green Gospel Chapel Praise Team, and Assistant Director of the Sunday School Choir. Her musical endeavours are rounded out by her solo singing and songwriting.


DAVID SANDERSON, Guitar. Mr. David Sanderson is a graduate of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts (Jamaica School of Music) and is a competent practitioner on guitar (pop, classical, jazz), electric bass, and keyboard. He is a member of the LTM Pantomime Orchestra as bass player/guitarist. Mr. Sanderson has performed in Miami, New York, London, Toronto, and Trinidad & Tobago. At teacher at the Norman Manley High School, David is studying on leave towards a degree jointly from the Edna Manley College and the University of the West Indies.


PAULINE SINGER, Piano. Mrs. Pauline Singer started studying music at age seven (7) and holds certificates in piano and theory of music from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Travelling with her father, she gained much experience playing at Mt. Charles, May Pen, and Ebenezer Baptist churches. In
recent years, she attended the Edna Manley School of the Visual and Performing Arts where she successfully completed the In Service Certificate Training.



IAN ROBERTS, Trumpet and brass. Mr. Ian Roberts started playing brass at Happy Grove High School in the parish of his birth. After high school he joined the army and became a member of the Mass Band and Drums of the First Battalion Jamaica Regiment . He has won awards at various music events including Talents For Christ of the Jamaica Youth For Christ; and the National School Music Competition where he won the Silver Medal.

Ian played with the renown group Living Stones, and is now with Instruments Of Praise, an ensemble that plays at weddings, funerals, concerts, and other functions. He creates advertising jingles for the corporate world, and is a backing musician for recording artistes and concert artistes including the likes of Donnie McClurken.


DEVON RICHARDSON, Drums.
Mr. Devon Richardson started playing drums at sixteen and took it seriously enough to teach himself the rudiments of drum theory. He played and toured with Stitchie and recorded with him on the Real Power album. He plays on the WARFARE album with ColeMusiq director Donovan Cole. His earlier recordings (before Devon came to trust Christ as his Saviour in 1995) can hardly be numbered. Spending twenty years with Lloyd Parkes and We The People Band, he has played or recorded with Dennis Brown (Love Has Found Its Way album), Gregory Isaacs, Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffiths, Black Uhuru, Freddie McGregor, J. C. Lodge, Sonny Bradshaw Big Band, Maurice Gordon; in fact with possibly ninety percent of top artists in Jamaica. His local influences include Sly Dunbar, Carlton Barrett, Michael Richards, Roger Bethelmy, and Calvin McKenzie on music education. He has also been influenced by internationally known drummers such as Billy Cobham, Jack DeJohnette, Tony Williams, Elvin Jones, Max Roach, and Art Blakey. Mr. Richardson also teaches in the Caribbean, Latin American and Jazz Studies programme at the Edna Manley College of the Visual And Performing Arts.

JENELLE NEWMAN, Piano.
Mrs. Jenelle (Anderson) Newman studied both violin and piano, the latter with Ms. Bridget Roper, Ms. Pauline Gordon, and Mr. Roger Williams. While studying piano, she received the highest mark islandwide in her grade 8 exams, and went on to attain the Advanced Certificate from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

As a student, she was given the Lisa Narcisse Award for excellence in music, and she successfully sat the GCE level exam in music. She played at the official opening of the Logos II in Trinidad, and played at a few international festival nights. She graduated with First Class Honours from the University of the West Indies where she gained her Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Electronics.


OTHNIEL
LEWIS, Jazz Piano.
Mr. Othniel Lewis holds the Certificate in Caribbean, Latin American and Jazz Studies from the Edna Manley College of the Visual And Performing Arts. He is a well-known recording and touring artiste who began his career with Celestial Gems, and continued to develop with the Schroeter Brothers and Portmore Vision Gospel Choir. He has toured or recorded with Carlene Davis, Junior Tucker, Judy Mowatt, Papa San, Chevelle Franklin, Christafari; and with ColeMusiq Director Donovan Cole on the WARFARE album. He appears on the Jazz In The Sun series aired on BET Jazz channel, and plays from time to time with local jazz guitarist Maurice Gordon. He also works along with Danny Browne at Main Street Records. Mr. Lewis has accompanied such international names as Tremaine Hawkins, Mary Mary, Phil and Brenda Nicholas, Richard Smallwood, and Donnie McClurkin.


VEVETTE CROSDALE, Piano. Mrs. Vevette Crosdale started music training on the piano at age 9 and holds certificates in piano and theory of music from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. She has taught at Liguanea Prep. School and
Junior World Pre-School. She is former pianist and Youth Choir Director for Rehoboth Gospel Assembly, and currently plays and sings as worship leader at Word Of Life Christian Fellowship.



DALE BROWN, ELECTRIC BASS. Dale Brown started playing music at age 13. The formative years were spent playing electric guitar with a subsequent transition to the electric bass. Mr. Brown has worked with various artistes both locally and internationally. These include The Grace Thrillers, Chevelle Franklin, Tremaine Hawkins, The Emmanuel Mass Choir, Jon Williams, Peter Ashbourne, Sean Paul, Tami Chynn, Byron Lee and the Dragonaires, among others.

His experiences has gained him competence in various genres including Reggae, Jazz, Soca, Rock, Blues, as well as other Caribbean, American, and Latin rhythms.

Dale performs frequently at the bi-monthly Jazz In The Garden held at the Jamaica Pegasus. He can be seen in performance weekly at Knutsford Court Hotel, The Kabana, and Red Bones.
